For example, there is quantitative method. It is understandable that this method presupposes certain calculations in order to get some results. There is analytical method, which presupposes the analysis of the material, which you have, and analysis of results of your dissertation research. There is method of comparison. It doesn’t need explanation, because comparison means to compare two or more things or phenomena between themselves. It is possible to describe all methods, but in this case, the list will be very long. In order to cope with dissertation/thesis methodology, it is necessary to visit library and ask respective literature about research methods which can be used for dissertation writing. Then it is necessity to choose those ones, which are suitable for your dissertation. If you don’t have any calculations at your dissertation research, it is obvious that quantitative method is not necessary for you. But if you have a lot of material, which mast be analyzed in order to make a conclusion then it is clear that analytical method is suitable for your dissertation.
